Cead mile failte! Welcome to Ireland!

We were all excited about going to Ireland. Despite our flight’s delay we reached our youth hostel in Dublin in time. We then took a long city walk and we visited several of Dublin’s famous sights such as The Spire, the James Joyce statue, The O'Connell monument, and the Temple Bar.

On the second day we had a guided tour which took us among other things to Trinity College and the Book of Kells. After the tour we visited the Guinness Store House and in the evening we watched a movie at the cinema.

The next day was exhausting, because we had to travel by bus to the Western coast of Ireland. There we could enjoy the beautiful landscape at the Cliffs of Moher and take amazing pictures.

From Monday to Friday we had English classes at the Cultural Institute in Galway, organized activities and some free time. The activities were, for example, a guided tour and a treasure hunt through Galway, Laser Quest and Bowling, an Irish dance lesson, an excursion to Athenry Castle and the Galway Museum, and a Greyhound race. At night we stayed with our lovely host families and got some insight into the Irish culture.

All in all our trip was interesting and informative and we had a lot of fun and a really good time in Ireland!
